Zilla Fatu, The Son Of WWE Legend Umaga, Makes His Wrestling Debut

The drama involving The Bloodline dominates WWE, captivating viewers each and every week as we watch on the edge of our seats to see what happens next. The Bloodline has turned Roman Reigns into the biggest wrestling star on the planet. It has made The Usos the top tag team, with Jey Uso becoming a main event star himself. Their little brother, Solo Sikoa, who pays tribute to another member of their family, the late great Umaga, has quickly become a dominant and impressive force as well. And they might not be done. Umaga's own son, Zilla Fatu, just entered the scene, making his wrestling debut over the weekend.

Zilla Fatu was trained by the legendary Booker T. The WWE Hall of Famer runs his own wrestling promotion in Houston called Reality of Wrestling. It was there that Fatu had his first match, even doing a version of his father's Samoan spike as a finisher. After the show, in an interview with MuscleManMalcom, Zilla Fatu took the humble approach in talking about the experience. “I’m my biggest critic, so I feel like, out of 100%, I’m probably at an 81. I just wish it was at 100%.Going into it, I was real nervous. I just wanted everything to be perfected and not have any hiccups. God blessed me, and we didn’t have any hiccups tonight. But I still feel like I could have done way better... To be honest, I didn’t know this opportunity was gonna come this fast. I didn’t know me having this match was gonna come this fast. But just thanks to the whole Reality of Wrestling for believing in me and my vision, and thanks to [Booker]. He played a big role on getting me on the card, and actually on a flier. I’m blessed to be in this position right now. So thanks to the whole Reality of Wrestling, the whole staff.” (h/t WrestleZone)

Zilla Fatu Talks About The Bloodline

Of course, the question had to be asked, does Zilla Fatu want to go to the WWE and join The Bloodline? Fatu paused before jokingly saying, "No, I want to own the WWE." He was also asked his opinion about the civil war between his family. “I got Jey. Team Jey. I’m more built on respect and loyalty, so that’s kind of going on. Roman disrespected Jey and Jimmy. But we all family at the end of the day. All families have hiccups, ups and downs. Stay tuned, it’s gonna get crazy.”

While fans shouldn't get their hopes up on seeing Zilla Fatu on WWE TV anytime very soon, it's not a long shot to see him developing in NXT one day in the near future. He wouldn't be the first Booker T trained wrestler to make it. He also trained NXT's Roxanne Perez, who competed in Reality of Wrestling as well.
