Regan Hockenberry Obituary, Death – Carol A. (Norris) Hockenberry, 63 years old, passed away at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 12:32 in the morning. Mary was from Huntingdon. She was the daughter of George M. Norris and Mary E. (Hearn) Norris, who both passed away, and she was born on October 31, 1959.
Her parents resided on Piney Ridge in Huntingdon. At the Hartslog Community Chapel, she and Kenneth E. Hockenberry exchanged their vows and exchanged their marriage vows. At their residence, Mr. Hockenberry continues to live. Not only does she leave behind her husband, but she also leaves behind her sister, Georgana M. Norris, who resides in James Creek; her nieces, Sharon Reed and her husband, Cliff, and April Norris; a great-niece, Mackenzie Regan; and three great-nephews, Brady Reed, Brody Reed, and Ayvris Skrabut.
Ira “Hank” Norris, her brother, and Michael Norris, her great-nephew, passed away before she did. She was the victim of their deaths. She worked as a Daily News carrier in addition to being an operating room technician at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, where she worked for a total of twenty-four years. She received her high school diploma from Huntingdon Area High School.
A significant portion of her time was spent with her husband, Ken, whom she cherished. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and playing bingo. Her hobbies included taking photographs of flowers and wildlife, hunting, fishing at Raystown Lake, gardening, and cooking. The Reverend Nate Kurtz will preside over the funeral services that will be performed on Thursday, May 4, at one o’clock in the afternoon at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home in Huntingdon. The Anderson Cemetery in Hesston is going to be the location of the interment. Visitors are welcome to stop by the funeral home between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. It is Wednesday, May 3rd.
